Cookie Policy
How the DHOG website uses cookies and browser storage.

What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how the DHOG website (operated by Digital Health Outcomes Group) uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser local storage. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Our approach is deliberately minimal: the site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use the storage the site needs to function and — only with your permission — Google Analytics.
What we store
The full inventory of storage used by this website:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| dhog-consent | Local storage | Records the cookie choice you made, so we do not ask again. | Strictly necessary | 12 months, then we ask again |
| _ga | Cookie (Google) | Google Analytics — distinguishes visitors. Set only after you opt in. | Analytics (optional) | 13 months |
| _ga_Z6X86D1V6R | Cookie (Google) | Google Analytics — maintains session state. Set only after you opt in. | Analytics (optional) | 13 months |
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which serves files without setting cookies.
Your choices
- Accept all — allows strictly necessary storage plus Google Analytics.
- Reject non-essential — limits storage to what the site needs to function.
- Manage preferences — choose per category. Your choice is saved and can be changed at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Rejecting non-essential storage never affects your ability to use the site. You can also clear all site data at any time in your browser settings.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It is switched off by default and loads only after you opt in — no analytics cookies are set beforehand. We configure it with Google signals and ad personalization disabled, and we honour withdrawal at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer, which also removes the analytics cookies. Consent is recorded through Google Consent Mode, so Google tags receive a denied signal until you opt in. Data collected is processed by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC as our processor; see our Privacy Policy for what is collected and how it is transferred.
